Design Approved: 20 June 1969
 
Symbolism: The wheel is the symobol of transportation and, together with the wings, refer to the battalion's transportation aircraft maintenance and supply general support mission. The wheel also indicated the unit's function as a hub, for providing repair part and maintaining reserve stocks of aircraft and aircraft armament repair parts. The unit's location in California is represented by the sun from the crest of the California Army National Guard. Two wings, one wheel, and seven rays of the sun refer to the unit's numerical desgnation.
