Symbolism: Blue refers to the unit's decent from the 184th Infantry Regiment organized in the California National Guard and recognized 6 May 1929. The shovel and bayonet show the engineer combat mission. The Pacific Right Whale is for the campaign honors awarded for service in the Pacific in World War II.
