- A Civil War encampment established in
San Francisco and Located on the Pioneer Racetrack between 24th
and 25th, Mission and Folsom streets, near Bernal Heights, it
was active from 1862 to 1865. It was primarily used by the 2nd
California Cavalry before moving to Salt Lake City.
