Camp Taylor
 
 
Situated on the Pitt River at Fall River Mills in Tehema County, about eight miles southeast of Fort Crook, Camp Taylor was established on September 16, 1859, by Captain F. F. Flint, 6th Infantry, with Companies A and I, aggregating 62 men. The detachment had left Camp Cass, near Red Bluffs, on September 7, in compliance with Special Department Orders No. 94, dated September 1, 1859. The distance marched was 110 miles.
