Symbolism:
The grizzly bear and setting sun are suggested by the crest of
the California Army National Guard. The gold star referes to
the units location of Sacramento, the capital of California.
Additionally the sun and star symbolize command, guidance, and
comtrol, which refers to the units motto. The cross, an emblem
of aid, signifies the medical mission of the organization
