Symbolism: The lozenge, simulating embattle island groups, represents campaign participation in the Pacific during World War II. The fleur-de-lis refers to campaigns in France in both World War I and World War II. The cross bolo knives denote Southern and Northern Philippines, where the unit received the Philippine Presidential Unit Citation, represented by blue, white and red.
