Ygnacio Valley Rifles: Licensed
26 October 1942. Special Order 183 consolidated with the Reserves
of Companies G and K, 9th Regiment, California State Guard to
form Company B, 4th Battalion, 33rd Regiment, California State
Guard effective 1 July1943. License revoked 1 October 1943 by
Special Order 265. The 26 January 1943 Fifth Region Station List
stated:
The unit was commanded by 1st Lt Carl
J. Struby Jr.
The unit consisted of one officer and
nine enlisted soldiers.
The unit met Sundays at 9:30 at the Oak
Grove School.
Defense mission assigned 24 September
1942: Protection of:
Southern Pacific Railroad Bridge,
Victory Highway Bridge.
Sacramento Northern Railroad Bridge and
Trestle.
Marsh Creek
