Carlotta
Carlotta Rifles: Licensed 21 December 1942. License revoked 1 October 1943 by Special Order 265. Commanded by R.F. Fischer.
Holmes
Holmes Rifles: Licensed 24 November 1942. License revoked 1 October 1943 by Special Order 265. The 26 January 1943 stated:
  • The unit was commanded Carl G. Danielson
  • The mission of the unit dated 19 November 1942 was to assist the local California State Guard in providing additional personnel to guard highway bridges and railroad tresles in the vicinity of Holmes.
  • Loleta
    Loleta Rifles: Licensed 26 October 1942. License revoked 1 October 1943 by Special Order 265. The 26 January 1943 stated:
  • The unit was commanded by 2nd Lt Henry A Biondini
  • The unit consisted of one officer and 20 enlisted soldiers.
  • The unit met at the Loleta Fireman's Hall every Thursday at 7:30 pm.
  • The unit's mission assigned on 6 October was to protect the following:
  • The 400-foot Northern Pacific Railroad trestle.
  • 1/2-mile Noerthwestern Pacific Railroad tunnel.
  • Other sites as directed by the District Commander.
  • Orick
    Orick Rifles: Licensed 21 December 1942. License revoked 1 October 1943 by Special Order 265.The unit was commanded M.P. King.
