San Benito Battalion,
Company B: Licensed 21 December 1942. License revoked 1 October 1943 by Special Order 265. Commanded by Clarence Bacon
Company C: Licensed 21 December 1942. License revoked 1 October 1943 by Special Order 265. The 26 January 1943 Fifth Region Station List stated that:
  • The unit was commanded by R.C. Taggert
  • Consisted of one officer and 56 enlisted members.
  • Met at Hollister High School Tuesdays at 7:30 pm.
  • On 9 October 1942 the unit recived a defense mission to protect the following:
  • Gas lines from Kettleman City to San Francisco passing through San Benito County.
  • Oil pipeline and pumping station passing through San Benito County from Kettleman City and San Francisco Bay Area.
  • California Highway 156 bridge over the San Benito River
