Camp Scholfield
A temporary post, the camp was established
by Troop M, 1st Cavalry, on August 6, 1883, in Fairfax, Marin
County. It was evacuated on October 29, 1883 in compliance with
Special Orders No. 131, Department of California, September 29,
1883.
