Frenchman Creek Camp
 
 
LOCATION: Located in Plumas County, twenty miles southeast of Milford, California.
 
SITE HISTORY: Prior to 1940, the United States Department of Agriculture, Forest Service acquired 5,402.24 acres by withdrawal from public domain (p.d.). On 25 June 1952, 5,402.24 p.d. acres were transferred from the Department of Agriculture, Forest Services to the US Air Force. On 30 March 1966, 5,402.24 p.d. acres were retransferred to the Forest Service. The site was used by Stead Air Force Base, Nevada, as a Survival Training Site. There was no mention in the historical files of any site improvements.
