Fort Mason Storage Annex

War Department use began in 1941 with the acquisition of 4.267 lease acres from various landowners. The site contained a building and storage yard previously built by Ford Motor Company and was used as office and storage space by the Army. The leases were terminated as follows: 4.109 acres were terminated on 30 January 1947, 0.095 acre was terminated on 17 January 1944, and 0.063 acre was terminated on 30 June 1947. The building was used as a trade school by the San Francisco Unified School District from 1948 to 1989. A gymnasium building was built on the site south of the Ford building. The 0.095 acre lot is currently used as a storage yard for Anderson, Rowe and Buckley Construction Co.
