Jackson Butte Radio Relay Annex
 
 
US Army Corps of Engineers History
 
The site was used by the US Air Force as an unmanned radio relay annex in support of McClellan Air Force Base in Sacramento, California from 1962 to 1975. A generator building that included a climate control system was constructed on-site to power a microwave repeater attached to two 10-foot parabolic antennas on an existing tower at the peak of Jackson Butte 300 feet east of the Site
