Army National Guard at Sacramento as the 980th Medical Unit
Ordered into active Federal service 6 December 1990 at Sacramento;
released 23 May 1991 from active Federal service and reverted
to state control
Reorganized and redesignated 1 September 1992 as Headquarters
and Headquarters Detachment, 980th Medical Battalion (organic
elements concurrently organized)
