Location: The site is located approximately 15 miles east
of Sacramento in Sacramento County, California (Figure 1 and
Figure 2).
Site History:
The Navy acquired a total of 3,591.86 lease acres on 26 October
1956. The site was established as the Naval Weapons Industrial
Reserve Plant (NIROP), Sacramento. No information was available
describing improvements or uses of the site. The entire 3,591.86
acres was reported as excess to the General Services Administration
on 24 August 1971. The current owner is Aerojet General Corporation.
