The Survival Training Auxiliary Site was located at New Hogan Lake in Calaveras County, California. The site was acquired prior to 16 May 1967, and consisted of 85.55 fee acres. Records indicate the site was used as a survival training site by the Air Force. Improvements listed were roads, trails, a survival training tower, a classroom building, a generator, chemical latrines, a floating small boat dock and launch ramp, a water tank with pumping and filtering system, a sewage disposal system, 20 cabins, caretakers residence, a softball diamond, and a picnic area.
