San Bernardino Army Air Field: Army Airways Communications Service (AACS) Transmitter Site
 
At some time during World War II, the War Department acquired nine acres for $2,000.00 for the establishment of a aid to navigation under the Army Air Forces. . The War Department expended an additional $2,000.00 in construction costs on the site. No other information is currently available. The 7 April 1945 Army of the United States Station List indicates that the site was operated by a detachment of Section D (101st AACS Squadron), 85th Army Air Forces Base Unit. No other information, including location, is not currently available.
