Captain, A. S. KAHL

This is one of the latest companies to organize in the State. Had 116 men out at a drill on Thursday night and the interest is growing, to get ready for service when called. Drills are under the direction of the drillmaster, Sergeant M. Herzog, of the U. S. Marine Corps. Rapid progress is being made. Captain A. S. Kahl expects to have his company uniformed and equipped very shortly. Captain Kahl believes in efficiency and has officers' school every Monday.

The Captain writes: "My firm belief is that equipment should be furnished us by the State."
