World War I

*Upon mustering into Federal service, all Naval Militia units, except the Marine Company, lost their identity and were never reformed . The Marine Company became the 36th Company, US Marine Corps, National Naval Reserve. California did not chose to reestablish a Naval Militia after World War I.
